The Turtle Tribe Sonic Electric Toothbrush uses replaceable heads carved from bamboo. Each head takes around six months to decompose while a plastic one takes hundreds of years to break up into toxic micro and nano-plastics.
The average person uses 300 toothbrush heads in their lifetime. Make sure yours are eco-friendly!
We're proud to share that our bamboo meets FSC requirements. This certification is considered the "gold standard" designation for bamboo and wood harvested from forests that are responsibly managed, socially beneficial, environmentally conscious, and economically viable.
IMPORTANT - While the replaceable heads are made of bamboo, the Turtle Tribe Sonic Electric Toothbrush handle and base are made of plastic and metal as per safety standards and waterproof requirements for electric components. But you don't throw those bits away. The replaceable heads should be replaced every 2-3 months (according to dental associations around the world), so those are the bits we make out of bamboo (except the bristles, which are nylon, and only a tiny fraction of the thrown-away part)

At The Turtle Tribe, orders are processed within 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your payment confirmation email.
Deliveries to parcel lockers are only available for orders above $30.
Our free shipping offer does not include any order that contains Cleaner Oceans Co. products or to international addresses.
Deliveries are made from 8:30am on Monday-Friday.
We ship with Australia Post and other local courier services. To keep costs down we do not offer tracking on every parcel. At our discretion we may apply tracking to your parcel and/or require a signature upon delivery as proof of receipt.
We reserve the right to refuse delivery to some addresses
RETURNS
In order to be eligible for a refund, you have to return the product within 30 calendar days of your purchase. The product must be unopened and in the same condition that you receive it and undamaged in any way.
After we receive your item, our team of professionals will inspect it and process your refund. The money will be refunded to the original payment method you’ve used during the purchase. For credit card payments it may take 5 to 10 business days for a refund to show up on your credit card statement.
If the product is damaged in any way, or you have initiated the return after 30 calendar days have passed, you will not be eligible for a refund.
If the product is faulty you have the right under Australian Consumer Law to a refund or replacement. Please contact us to arrange a suitable solution.
Please note bamboo toothbrush handles can be susceptible to mould if stored incorrectly. Bamboo toothbrushes must be stored in a dry non-humid location prior to use, and kept dry between uses. Stored and used this way, bamboo toothbrush handles will not go mouldy.

To avoid mould, please allow your bamboo toothbrushes to air-dry after use. Do not stand in a wet cup, as constant moisture can cause this natural product to grow mould.
If storing unused brushes for long periods be sure to store away from heat and moisture, in an air-tight container.

Dentists recommend that you replace your toothbrush every three months due to bacterial build-up in the bristles. A plastic one will be around for another 500 years after you're gone, so thanks for choosing biodegradable bamboo instead!
